Eating less as you age….

Evidence is building that consuming fewer calories as you age is good for your body and now it seems this is also good for your brain. And there is more on food that is good for the brain. Omega 3 rich foods such as fish, Vitamins B, E, C rich foods such as many kinds of vegetables. Cabbage, guavas, amla are the richest in Vitamin C…..uncooked. Heat kills vitamin C very quickly. All greens will give you B in some form or the other. Trans fats, not surprisingly are very bad for the brain. As they are for the heart. Research into the nutritional requirements of aging brains is on going, but the one indispensable ingredient you need at all ages is common sense!
